Resin Solutions, Paint Strippers, Thinners and Retarders
Camger provides an excellent selection of resin solutions, strippers, retarders, and thinners / reducers for various applications that one may encounter in the coatings industry.
Polymer Solutions
For organizations that want to formulate their own products, our industrial resin solutions provide a dynamic polymer base on which to build a formula into what’s necessary for a particular end use. The resins used in these products are solid state, hard to dissolve, and difficult to work with prior to bringing them into solution. Camger takes the hard work out of the process of using these unique polymers by putting them into solution form, making them easily pourable and, thus, easy to work with. We determine the appropriate solvent system for a particular resin through our careful research into the Hansen Solubility Parameters, targeted % solids, target viscosity, and target evaporation rate of the system. This approach results in a resin solution that’s perfectly tailored to your intended end use. Please review our stock resin solutions below, but also consider us for help in dissolving any other resins that you require.

Aluminum Steel Wood |
Spray | 1500 – 2000 cP | 52–60% | Fluoroethylene vinyl ether (FEVE) solution available in multiple solvent packages including zero VOC systems; used in 2K fluorothane formulations as the “part A” hydroxyl functional side; can be reacted with aliphatic isocyanates for unparalleled weather-ability performance |
30 series | Solvent Based Air Dry |
Metals Plastics Wood |
Spray | 30-34s #1 Zahn |
11-12% | Acrylic solution provides a hard, polished looking finish; based upon a methacrylate copolymer which has a broad application from general purpose lacquers to flexographic inks. |
35 series | Solvent Based Air Dry |
Various Metals | Spray | 40-44s #1 Zahn |
11-15% | Provides excellent adhesion to various metallic substrates; demonstrates flexibility while also incorporating durability and toughness; based upon a thermoplastic acrylic resin and provides a wide range of formulation latitude due to its excellent solubility |
Paint Strippers
Paint stripping products have, in recent years, been required to walk the balance between environmental friendliness and effectiveness in removing paint. As such, the chemical composition of these products must be aggressive to the paint but not to the environment. While this is not an easy task, our expertise in this area allows us to offer two strippers, providing different benefits, and both methylene chloride and NMP free. These offerings are sure to perform the way you expect a stripper should.
Product Series |
Chemistry Type | Application Method | Viscosity | % Solids | Description |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
PBG-11216 | Solvent Based | Dip | 24 – 28 seconds #2 Zahn | ~2% | Very effective stripper for most solvent based coatings; NMP free and fast stripping speed; low viscosity accommodates dip application, which is the recommended method of use |
0212 | Solvent Based | Trowel | 72K – 76K cPs | 11% - 12% | NMP free stripper great for stripping almost any paint; it is highly effective and is full bodied having a viscosity suitable for trowel application with no sag; due to its high viscosity, this product can be easily applied to vertical surfaces as well as downward facing surfaces; easy to clean with soap and water |
Thinners and Retarders
Camger’s thinners, also commonly referred to as reducers, can be used to bring our full-bodied coatings down to your optimal spray viscosity. Some of these reducers can double as retarders, which will slow down the dry time of a product to avoid dry spray, blush, surface leveling issues, and more. We have a full line of these industrial thinners and retarders wherein you will find one that’s tailor made for your application. Care should be taken to ensure that the appropriate thinner is selected, so we hope you will consult with us first.
